Polteraitis Medals, Titans Finish 4th at Charleston Classic Invitational

Mount Pleasant, S.C.- The defending SCISA State Champion Trinity Collegiate Girls' Golf  team opened their season on Monday, August 25th at the Charleston Classic Invitational at RiverTowne Country Club. Facing a strong field and difficult course conditions due to the torrential rains in the Charleston area over the weekend, the Titans shot a +59 to finish 4th overall as a team. They were also the top private school finisher in the field. 

Individually, the Titans claimed the top spot in the entire field of 101 golfers as senior Lina Polteraitis shot a 70 to finish as the medalist at -2 overall. This was three strokes ahead of any other golfer in the field. Senior Grant Corry also finished in the top-21 golfers to help pace the Titans. 

The Trinity golfers will return to the course on Friday, August 12th as they compete in the Palmetto Tournament of Champions at Tradition Club in Pawley's Island, S.C.
