B-Team Girls' Win Regular Season Opener
Kingstree, SC- The Trinity Collegiate B-Team Girls' Basketball Program won their regular season opener on Monday evening at Williamsburg Academy, taking a 14-2 halftime lead en route to a 20-11 victory. Riley Flowers (Florence, SC/All Saints Episcopal Day School) scored a season high eight points to pace the Titans. Jane Hyman (Florence, SC/Royall Elementary School) and Kathryn DeBerry (Florence, SC/All Saints Epsicopal Day School) each contributed six points apiece in the win.
The Titans dominated on the boards, and their decisive advantage in rebounds proved key to getting the win over a tough and well-coached Stallions program. With only six players available, every member of the team played a large role in bringing home the victory.
Trinity will return to action on Thursday, January 15th when they will host All Saints Episcopal Day School in a scrimmage. This will be the home opener for the Titans in Sonoco Gymnasium and tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
