Bio
Born in Germany in 1980 while his father was deployed overseas, Eldred White, Jr. spent his early years on base before settling with his family in Hartsville, South Carolina. A 1998 graduate of Hartsville High School, Eldred was the starting quarterback for the Red Foxes.
He began his collegiate journey as a quarterback at the University of Tennessee, later transferring to the University of South Carolina and ultimately finishing up his playing career and earning his degree from South Carolina State University. White played quarterback for the Bulldogs under the director of legendary coach Willie Jeffries.
White began his coaching career in 2003; the same year his son, Eldred White III, was born. He became deeply involved in AAU basketball and youth football, where he mentored many future collegiate student-athletes in the Hartsville community.
In 2022, White joined Trinity Collegiate School as the Running Backs Coach, quickly embracing the school's culture and community. He enjoys working with the Trinity student-athletes towards the common goal of raising another state championship banner on Hoffmeyer Road. In addition to his work at Trinity, White has served as the offensive coordinator for the semi-professional Carolina Chiefs for the past seven seasons. In 2025, he helped lead the team to both a league championship and a Sunshine Bowl victory.
White credits his success, both on and off the field, to his faith in Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.
