Bio

Born on April 17, 1979, Marvin James Toney Jr. is a Hartsville High School graduate who has dedicated his life to fitness, athletic development, and youth mentorship. With certifications in Personal Training, Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition, and Performance Coaching, he brings a comprehensive and experienced approach to training athletes at all levels.

With many years of experience working with youth athletes, Toney is known for his energy, discipline, and ability to bring out the best in every individual. He was nominated for Best Personal Trainer of 2025, a reflection of his impact and dedication in the fitness and sports performance community. 

Toney joined the Trinity Collegiate coaching staff in 2023, serving as the strength & conditioning coordinator and working with the defensive backs. 

In addition to one-on-one and team coaching,  Toney hosts an annual youth football camp, providing young athletes with both skill development and life mentorship opportunities. His passion for helping the next generation grow—both on and off the field—sets him apart as more than just a coach.

Off the field, Toney enjoys working out and spending quality time with his family and friends.
