Richard Cue
Bio

A native of Florence, South Carolina, Cue first made his mark as a High School State Championship Quarterback at Wilson High School, winning the 2007 AAA Football State Championship as a junior. His standout performance earned him a full athletic scholarship to South Carolina State University, where he became a record-setting quarterback and contributed to multiple championships. Cue graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education & Activity Management, later earning a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Education from Francis Marion University (South Carolina) and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Salem University (West Virginia).

Returning to his alma mater, Cue began his coaching career in 2016 as Head Football Coach at Williams Middle School, while also serving on Friday nights as a varsity assistant under then-Head Coach Thomas Balkcom. He joined the varsity program full-time in 2017, coaching wide receivers from 2017–2019 before being promoted to Quarterbacks Coach and Passing Game Coordinator under current Ridge View High School Head Coach, Derek Howard in 2019.

In 2022-2023, Cue was named Co-Offensive Coordinator under then newly hired Wilson High School Head Football Coach, Rodney Mooney. He helped the Tigers orchestrate a high powered offense, averaging 35 points and 350 total yards per game. Cue coached and mentored a number of talented players in Jyron Waiters (WR, East Carolina University), Tremel Echols (QB, Victor Valley College), & Zandae Butler (WR, Valdosta State University), just to name a few.

Now entering his 10th year of coaching, Cue brings a proven combination of experience, leadership, and offensive expertise; particularly in quarterback development and strategic play design. His dedication to mentoring student-athletes, both on and off the field, will be a tremendous asset to the Titans’ football program.

Off the field, Coach Cue is a devoted family man. He is married to his wife, Kristen, and together they are the proud parents of their four-year-old daughter, Harlow, and their six-year-old dog, Ollie.
