Swampcats Too Strong For Titans
Manning, SC- The Trinity Collegiate junior varsity baseball team fell 11-1 to Laurence Manning Academy on Tuesday.
Laurence Manning took an early lead in the first inning, scoring three runs on an RBI single and a Trinity error. The Swampcats added four more runs in the second inning behind a string of timely hits, then tacked on another run in the third to extend the advantage.
The Titans managed three hits in the game. William Fox drove in Trinity's lone run and finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Caleb Saleeby and George Taflinger each added a hit for the Titans.
Prue Branyon got the start on the mound for Trinity, allowing six runs, four earned, over one inning.
Laurence Manning totaled 10 hits offensively, with Jud Reynolds, Landon Duke, and Kaine Rose each recording two hits. Duke drove in three runs to lead the Swampcats at the plate.
The Titans return to action Wednesday when they host Lee Academy. First pitch is set for 4:30 PM.
